I can’t leave.
I have a child with an abusive, vindictive ex-spouse. Regardless of me having sole custody, I would still need to get both the court’s permission and his permission just to move out of state, so god knows I will not be able to get out of the country.
I’m at a loss.

I remember one of my sister’s teachers were saying that human blood is blue when inside your body. “Just look at your veins!”

Man. I’m a single mom. It be like that sometimes.
Not the whole “you need a man around”-thing. It’s a single-parent thing. It’s hard as fuck to do all the work yourself and not have someone to help out when you may be at your limit.
Not to mention single-parent households deal more with poverty, housing insecurity, poor mental health, overworking, etc.
I watched it happen to a lot of my friends growing up. It’s fucking rough.
It’s not every case, but it can be a lot.

- Comment on How come people who are against abortion are in favor of the death penalty? Kind of seems like a contradicition/ 4 weeks ago:
Because they don’t care about “life”.
They care about punishing people.

- Comment on Subnautica 2 - Official Teaser Trailer 5 weeks ago:
I absolutely LOVE the original Subnautica, but was frustrated with Below Zero.
Already skeptical about this game because it looks like it has
Tap for spoiler
two characters instead of one
.
A big appeal of the first game was the isolation you felt, and the struggle to find life and accomplish gargantuan tasks.
Cautiously optimistic for this installment.
Please don’t have the characters yap & quip throughout this one, god, please!

I was not at all trying to be snarky in any possible way. I guess I should have been more clear in saying what I really meant: women would probably understand this more clearly than others. My apologies if I seemed like I was trying to upset you in anyway. Tone is weird through text.
But here’s the confirmation: feddit.uk/comment/12718867

Considering the specific context, that’s what makes it very not-so-ambiguous.
And I’m sure folks that identify a specific way would also agree.
Plus, the OP confirmed it. 🕵️♂️🕵️♀️

Do you know what a tampon is / does? You might be able to infer from that alone.

- Comment on Every show with a suicide now has a disclaimer with a suicide hotline at the beginning. Is there any evidence that these warnings make a positive difference? 2 months ago:
Thank you.
A big part of why I have severe anxiety to this day is because I was exposed to traumatic things far too young/quickly. I was pushed into situations where I was not ready or emotionally/mentally equipped to handle. Constantly.
Exposure is only good if a person is ready for it. Desensitization is only helpful when you are equipped to handle such a thing.
I had an ex who would say that we were doing one thing, then take me to do something completely different, then boast that he was “helping me”, which only heightened my fears in the end. As a foil to that, I had an ex after that who was encouraging and supportive and kind, and gently led me into the same situations, where I knew what I was getting into. Guess how which one had me overcoming my fears?
Exposure works best if you are prepared for the exposure and have the support you need in those kind of situations.
I am always thankful for trigger warnings.

Oh, I labeled the cords & disconnected them to clean. Slid the side off to give everything a thorough shine!
Problem is: this cables connect to this big ho.

Looking into my trash, it’s more like half a bucket, the other half being crumpled paper towels.
Sadly, I only remembered to take a single one before the process started.
Warning for tech-gore, maybe? Again, I’m not a tech person. The back has always been partially open. This was built by someone else, and it’s… probably not standard.
