Could be.
Could be moving cheap non-food goods back and forth as well. The last shipment on the Banglar Samriddhi was steel coils delivered to Ergeli in Turkey. It was en-route to Olvia to pick up clay for manufacturing ceramics. No food.
Latest Ports of Call indicate no food transport to Bangladesh.

Ships are flagged where it's cheap to run a ship, not necessarily ships affiliated with that nation.

I thought so at first. But I speak a language close to Bengalese, the Ship has a Bangladeshi name. "Banglar Samriddhi" Translated: "Prosperity of the Bengalese people". Weird choice for a Flag of convenience, if the ship had nothing to do with Bangladesh.

Many ships use random countries like Sierra Leone or Marshall Islands. It"s a tax and low paperwork thing.
