Quick primer in terms of color coding Canadian politics for foreigners:
Purple is the People's Party of Canada, a more principled and libertarian offshoot of the conservatives, and the only party whose leader supported the truckers since the beginning.
Blue is the Conservative Party of Canada. They are supposed to be conservative, but in the last election Erin O'Toole who leads the party was criticised for basically being the Liberal party lite.
Red is the Liberal party, they are supposed to be center-left, but... Justin Trudeau...
Light Blue is the Bloc Quebecois, separatists.
Green is the green party
Orange is the NDP, a far left party. They're normally considered fringe whackjobs, but... Justin Trudeau...

But really, north america could almost be divided vertically into 3 zones, the two coasts of Cascadia snd the Ontario-Chesapeake-StLawrence Triangle, and then the massive Dixie-Rockies-Prairie-Arctic hinterland, i guess the whole of the north would be mainly conservative, and you don't want meso-america.
