  Once upon a time these awards shows weren’t televised. I wouldn’t mind if they went back to that, personally.

    I think a reason why the viewership is so low is because viewers are fractured and watch so many things.

    For example I've been watching all these shows on-demand, but skipping forward to just see my favorites from Succession accept awards. I have a sibling who has been watching the full shows but she and Karsten Runquist are the only ones I've heard say they watched these events in full.

  Tldr it wasn’t just the Emmys, but the Iowa caucuses and NFL were on. Yeah no one watched but they also chose a terrible night for it
