R/antiwork was and is very hostile to some of us and power sharing. If a competitor sub becomes a major player, it would be good if some of us have a good position there. This is useful for foss promotion, and making sure comrades aren't being banned from a new r/antiwork.
Edit: how many of us called it that r/antiwork needed to have proper backups across other platforms
Competitors:
r/antiwork2 - soft partnership with c/antiwork, you can cross post lemmy content to r/antiwork2
r/WorkReform
r/WorkersStrikeBack
r/MayDayStrike

Contacting the listed subreddits via modmail should be a good first step. If any of you would like me to whip up a template message for you to send, let me know. Reaching out doesn't take long, it's literally just sending a Reddit message and following up.

Here's what I used:

Can we get an official chatroom going?

On matrix/element, discord, telegram or other platforms? Myself and some others prefer chatrooms over forums. Not the ones partnered with r/antiwork. I know of non partnered matrix and telegram chatroom that would work, but you might want to take this opportunity to establish your own.

I would like to help by bridging a given channel to matrix/element. Matrix is decentralized foss and my preferred platform, in part due to the it being reported that discord generates 130 mill revenue / yr, whereas most matrix servers (actual servers, rather than centralized servers which is what discord uses) are non profit.
