I've been playing games of windows solitaire lately. One thing that's really notable to me is that no matter how well you play, certain card combinations simply will not let you win. Eventually you're out of moves and it's time to restart with a new hand.
Chasing perpetually offended moral puritans seems like a similar situation. You can't win, eventually you're out of moves and the game is over.
