Criminals will always use better tools, e-bikes are just a tool, banning them won’t fix this. The issues to tackle are far deeper, and focusing on the wealth gaps, on reintegration into the world markets and economic systems so trade and prosperity flow once again will do far more than trying to ban tools will in addressing crime. People growing desperate will take desperate measures, and if you let the underlying systemic issues remain, you’re just gonna encourage new criminals to become much better and much more dangerous criminals.
