That formal blog place. The one with all the art hoes but it isn’t art, it’s like philosophy and collegiate stuff. I’m spacing the name.
Where do people go to get popular nowadays? (no offense lemmy.world) facebook, insta, tittok, twitter or that blue bird thing? If I wanted to advertise a book which would be best?

Substack! It’s very academic-coded but you don’t have to be a real professional of any kind. I think you just have to be aesthetically pleasing enough for people to think you are intelligent. I read a guy on reddit talking about how he’d just get drunk and try to get people to flirt with him.

Give me a second. I have to remember the name. It’s pretty mainstream, I think people will dislike that I’ve described it the way I did when I drop the name.

Could make a short youtube video - not even a short - and have it promoted that way. (Do another stuff as well, though). Have you seen that “sitting down in bedroom talking to camera” videos get pushed hard by the algorithm now?
Don’t feel embarrassed about promoting it anywhere, nor in multiple places at once. Social media makes it so that this is the norm.
