  I am against the death penalty. It took 32 years to get from the murder to the execution. What’s the point ?

    That is an interesting take. You could also look at it like the anxiety and buildup and the wheels of justice slowly closing in are its own form of punishment.

    I am somewhat playing devil’s advocate here. I am mostly against the death penatly. I understand how in certain circumstances its expedience may be needed but that does not describe the USA or where I live today.

      People claim it’s a deterrent. I don’t think it is. Studies don’t show that it is. Executing someone who normally elderly just seems bizarre.

      Also we have executed innocent people. Oops.
