  Am I the only one that read the headline and wondered how a memorial can be contaminated with HIV and hepatitis?

    Its so much worse once you read into the article:

    We left school with death sentences."

    Goodyear was infected with hepatitis and HIV while at the school.

    “In 1985, a doctor tearfully said that I had two to three years to live,” he explained.

    “I was told this with five other boys and the doctor went round the room and said: ‘You have… you haven’t… you have… you haven’t… you have got HIV’.”

      It is, it’s absolutely horrendous. I can hardly imagine how it’s impacted them and their families for so many years. It’s good the memorial is there to respect those affected and remind others about the terrible injustice.
