If when I was young and skinny, I could leg press 600lbs. Now if later in life I balooned up to 500 or whatever does that mean everyday pulling my self up and walking im leg pressing 500 again?

Fat guys that lose a lot of weight have massive calves. No amount of calf/ toe raises can compete with walking around with a hundred pounds or more of excess weight.

Yeah, you’re carrying it. Your mass doesn’t have another way to get around with you

That’s part of why people always lose lean mass when they lose weight. You no longer need that muscle and bone to move the weight around.

Pretty much. One of the advantages overweight people have if they want to start exercising is they’re literally doing resistance exercises all the time they’re moving due to the extra weight they’re carrying. Over the last few years I lost 25kg, the equivalent of a large sack of potatoes.

With shortened range of motion yes. And probably bad form.

Also, how would you press without your shoulders youtu.be/x4O0WzWWpd0
