Following up on the Mechanical Engineer opportunity I mentioned — I want to be upfront about what this role really involves, since it’s a very specific type of engineering position and I’d rather you have the full picture than waste your time.
This is not a desk engineering job. The engineer is embedded directly on the PDM/Mod line for a Special Mission C-130, which means: Developing and dispositioning structural and corrosion repairs on real aircraft, in real time Troubleshooting mechanical and pneudraulic systems — flight controls, landing gear, environmental control systems Applying Air Force Technical Orders and depot maintenance/mod instructions daily Working hands-on inside wings, cockpit, and confined spaces, using stands/scaffolding, and at times fall-restraint equipment We need someone with genuine depot-level MRO/heavy-maintenance experience — this has been a hard requirement, since it’s easy to look qualified on paper but the role demands someone who has physically worked a PDM or mod line before.
If that matches your background, I’d love to talk. And if it doesn’t — no worries at all. If you know someone in your network who fits this (depot PDM/heavy MX background, comfortable being physically on the aircraft), I’d genuinely appreciate the introduction.
Best regards,
