    I understand we need to be moving towards greener ways of travelling, but at the end of the day this is a fucking island, London is one of the most metropolitan cities on earth, and Heathrow is constantly way over capacity. So like, build the fucking runway. At least it isn’t an AI data centre.

        And at the end of the day it also doesn’t care about 1 airport in London. You are correct of course. But it’s also correct to say that currently tens of millions of people’s lives in the UK depend on these things called jobs, and the economy exists and we live under capitalism. So it’s not like you can just will the demand and NEED for travel to London out of existence either.

        Maybe the Eurostar shouldn’t be £140 and be nightmare. Maybe million things.
