Mario Kart Wiicompiled + Retro Rewind | Trailer
We are so back! This is my kind of Nintendo Direct. Hombrew just does what Nintendont.
Decompiled Mario Kart Wii native on Linux (meaning 4K 120Hz) with all previous Courses and some of the later ones included as well as a reverse engineered server (which seems to be down right now for maintenance). Devs are also very active.
They did honestly perfected the physics and some of the item weights in Mario Kart 8, but I supposed I can live without it, especially the minute long invincibility frames. Its still in Beta but am looking forward trying this out later today.

So better get it fast before Nintendo kills the thing or is there a special reason this will be ignored by them?

Nintendo really does not have any legal basis to be able to kill it. Not a single asset is made by Nintendo. But then again it should be the same with emulators, but they still managed to do that again just a short while ago. https://www.xda-developers.com/nintendo-reportedly-takes-down-400-switch-emulators-massive-github-purge/
But I think this is mostly because Microsoft just does not care, and if a big company comes knocking they are siding with them to get it over with instead of locking what exactly the legalities are.

Ah, makes sense.
Did you get wheelwizard to work on Linux?
I just downloaded it from flathub, have the rmcp01 but wheelwizard tells me to point to Dolphin.exe.
I downloaded retroarch for the dolphin core assuming I will find the dolphin.exe in .config/retroarch but no dice.
As I understand exe is a windows fileformat. So do I download the dolphin emu for windows and point ww at that? Or is there an option to get it trough a package manager?
Sorry for asking if you have no clue what I talk about.
