While I don’t personally understand the mental behind liking to spend more time working for a bit more (though probably still not enough) money, if keeping busy and getting paid for it is more enjoyable to them than whatever is/is not going on in their home life I don’t really take any sort of personal offense towards them over it, much like how I wouldn’t take personal offense towards someone talking about some hobby I don’t personally enjoy.
