Broadcast regulator Ofcom has launched investigations into anti-LGBTQ+ attacks on GB News following complaints by Good Law Project and 15,000 members of the public.
The Good Law Project complaint relates to a broadcast of Alex Armstrong Tonight on 5 July 2026. Over 12,000 members of the public wrote their own complaints about this incident and a further 3,000 complaints were submitted about a similar incident on Saturday Five, broadcast on 20 June 2026, following a campaign by Drag Race star Bimini and influencer Liam Rondi.

I’ve been following the numerous complaints being made about GB News and how transphobic their content is, for a very long time now. It’s nice to see some action even starting to be taken. Seems this particular segment caused a bit of a frenzy as they even had to come back later and try to play neutral in response to it.
It’s a shame it’s only in relation to this one incident however, as there’s a frequent amount of them and a more general investigation into GB News would show the overall nature of the ‘station’.
