Good for her, bur this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with conservative politics… And of anything is for conservative political values, like family, community, nation.

“A citizen is using science to preserve the option to have a family later in life, because for now she’s choosing to work as a senator and improve our nation.”

This is deeply conservative, and shows how much improving the lives of others is important to her. Good for her.

I have heard people suggest she would one day be a good Presidential candidate. That would seem to be the most likely endgame for AOC, would it not?

So, when does she plan on carrying her babies to term? Age 55? I do know of a woman doing that, but when one becomes a parent even at age 40, you become acutely aware of the ticking clock.

One of my buddies had his daughter at age 46 and, over beers, calmly stated that he was stressed because he realized that he would be retiring right as she enters university, which isn’t a small bill, and he realized that he would be statistically likely to be in sharp decline when she is the age at which most women get married and give birth…

I know another guy who made the decision to marry very late in life and sired a child at age 60 with a woman who was 40. The boy is 15 and he, at 75, already had his first week-long hospitalization for a heart attack. And, yes, I live in a country with socialized medicine and it still drained his bank account (lol).

It actually makes so much sense to do this classic move: married in college or shortly thereafter; immediately have 2, 3 kids in quick succession; youngest is 3 by the time you are 30, 31 and you have all the time in the world to relentlessly pursue your career.

But, really why I am very anti-progressive, even if it makes sense for AOC or a cancer researcher to freeze their eggs for later…

*Let’s not pretend that Melissa needs to put her life on pause for 25 years to climb the corporate ladder in your typical Small & Medium Enterprise cubicle farm job.

Stop pretending you are doing anything besides working for the guy.

And that’s the hilarious thing about the progressive left of Reddit and elsewhere: they see through the Capitalist system and are ready to crowd fund everything for everyone in this broken system, but they are fiercely loyal to the idea that the most respsonisble thing for you to do is to freeze your eggs so you can work better for the man.

    This could be relevant:

There’s a reason Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t mentioning her fiancé Riley Roberts when she talks about freezing her eggs … TMZ has confirmed they broke up.

AOC and Riley actually split roughly two years ago, and called off their engagement, according to Puck’s Chief Washington Correspondent Leigh Ann Caldwell … who was first to report the couple’s demise.

Multiple sources on Capitol Hill tell TMZ, it’s felt like ages since the pair were seen together publicly. That’s not hyperbole … Riley and AOC were last photographed at 2021’s Met Gala.

About a year later, in May 2022, the congresswoman confirmed she and RR were engaged. While we’ve confirmed they’re dunzo, we can’t say for certain when the break-up went down.
