In order to watch a film, you have to actually pay attention.
I generally don’t watch video media for exactly that reason. Even audiobooks are too much for me.
How can people with ADHD possibly enjoy movies if they daydream and can't focus on the movie?

TV is my emotional support noise and extra stimulation layer to keep some noisy part of the brain occupied. I can drift in and out of movies while they’re on. In the cinemas the thrill of large screen, people around and general rejection of using phone help to steer attention.
