Is there a reason why the signup process is so difficult, and possibly broken?

I get a rate limit error, and the captcha is nearly impossible to read, I have been completing captchas for a long time, never seen them this bad.

I want to delete my current account and start a new one, if I can’t start a new one, I will just delete this one and walk away.
