Good shave but definitely the last one for this blade (8).

While I prefer the mutton base, the beef base is still so so good, especially when loaded with abandon.
The Most Boar brush was superb. This entire shave was superb.

Just a quick, boring head shave with the HB. Quite bland, but effective. This shave gel is actually suitable for sensitive skin.

Theme Thursday - take two. Tobacconist followed by Leviathan is a terrific combo. Great shave this evening. The My-Blades blade performs very smoothly in the Envoy. I forgot how great the Envoy handle is.
Shire and FYL are among my favourite tobacco scents individually, but as it turns out they don’t work together all that well. FYL just overpowers Shire. Lesson learnt. Still a very nice shave with the wonderful Fili 14.

An obvious choice for me for this Theme Thursday would be Tobacconist, but I think that if you’re going to have a tobacco note in your scent, plum should accompany it. The shave was so good, a dash of talc was required.

No, but I’m considering taking up pipe smoking and/or cigar smoking. Almost everybody in my generation smoked cigarettes and quit for their health. I quit in the late '70s. It has occurred to me that starting to smoke a pipe or cigars after a certain age is low risk relative to the other things that we geezers die from.
