So I’m thinking about upgrading my bike, and the first thing that comes to mind is the battery. Let’s say I find a good battery case, grab an appropriately specced prismatic battery, wire it into the bms and secure it in the case. Is it feasible to build my own ebike battery?
I want it waterproof so I worry I’d need to engineer some kind of cooling system. Aside from that and temperature expansion, am I missing something?

Cushioning would be ideal in the case to protect the cells from vibrations and repeated minor impacts.

Ooo, this is a good guide, thanks. I’ve worked with electricity enough to do the work, but not necessarily evaluate which websites are good

I’m only standing by the statement on the site itself. There are some studies on vibrations and such elsewhere. I cannot say much for their product.

It can be hard to tell. I wouldn’t buy a battle born battery right now though.
They have some bad recommendations and dangerous QC issues apparently.
