I used to love KFC. Then last month at a KFC they asked for my vaccine proof......
... and now I will never go there again. I am only going to support businesses that care for me, and don't meddle their nose in my healthcare.
Fuck KFC, McDonalds' and every multi national chain. I don't need you. I will patronize my local restaurants.
I've had some plant based chicken patties. I think they were made out of chickpeas. Pretty good. As long as they don't load it up with soy.
I get it though, live in a pod, eat bugs, own nothing. None of that is good and I'm sure it is part of the plan - but I'm not looking to KFC for patriotism. Or even basic morality.
Unless chicken magically tastes like chick peas, I doubt it tastes like chicken.
I tried one of those fake meat burgers a while back because I'm not fundamentally opposed to the idea of eating something that's like meat that doesn't involve killing an animal, but it wasn't remotely like that. It was exactly like biting into ground up chick peas.
Basically fried tar. Kids love Fried chicken but all that fried seed oil is terrible for you though. Super inflammatory. I pick up beef fat from my local butcher for free, render it to tallow and then use that as the fat to make chicken nuggets for my son. For honey mustard I use actual honey and mustard. Instead of the fucking fructose shit syrup and canola oil slop store bought honey mustard is made out of. Lots of work but I believe much healthier than what you get in fast food and tallow taste better. Anything fried in tallow will have a better taste. The fat can often be had free or cheaply from just steak clippings. Tallow also has more vitamins. A very stable double bonded steric acid fat that won't bind to oxygen molecules, fucking your insides up. Fuck what the heart association says they are in bed with seed oil companies. Always have been. /End fat rant

The shop, a premade salad is cheaper than a fastfood meal, and is healthier, and you get to choose what meat alternative you want with it.
