I’ve been seeing a lot of Tabac usage lately, and it’s reminding me that I should get around to finally trying it out. But I also recall reading that they had changed the formula at some point relatively recently, event though it’s still labeled as “original”, is that right? If so, is it still worth getting, or are you guys all using the original original?
We’ve done a comparison on our podcast 🙂 i hesitate to recommend listening to it because it’s the second episode and we hadn’t figured audio yet 😅 Tl/dr: veggie Tabac is great, buy with confidence, or even better, wait for Stanksgiving and win a tub.
BTW: the tallow formula isn’t more “original”, and there have been reformulations before
Man, speaking of things I’ve been meaning to do, I’ve been meaning to check out your podcast as well. So thank you for that reminder. Thank you as well for the heads up on stanksgiving. I haven’t been posting to Reddit since the before times, but I’ve begrudgingly been thinking I might as well. Now seems as good a time as any to start.
I bought a new formula Tabac soap, after having finished the old version tallow soap (in the simpler days, when I had only one soap). I haven’t yet tried the new version, but I have heard mostly good things. It seems to be less stanky™ that the old one, fwiw.
Oh right, I’ve seen a lot of references to the “stank”. Is that from musk? I’ve noticed I don’t usually like soaps with musk in their profile.

Is the Lemmy server still slow for anyone else? I restarted everything but I don’t notice much improvement.

Same here. And on Voyager, the WQ Thread doesn’t seem to be pinned ( it is though on Jerboa, but I cannot post from Jerboa anymore 🤷♂️)

Still intermittently slow for me. I’m getting frequent HTTP 502 errors and TCP timeouts both of which could trace back to server resource issues but I do wonder if your server is behind a proxy.

A few hours ago they increased shared memory for PostgreSQL. I guess the general RAM increase didn’t include that? Not sure. Things feel faster to me but I’ll give it some time.
