As someone who’s SO is a therapist, most therapists hate insurance companies. Insurance only pays the therapist a portion of the fee charged. So you may pay 200 for a visit but the therapist gets 60 or less of it. Not to mention it can take months for insurance to actually reimburse the therapist so they can for long stretches waiting to get paid. And if they work for a company then the company usually takes 50%
