    Used to get this at Apple.

    Some DLs had tens of thousands of employees around the globe, including vendors, contractors, etc. The email chains could last days as new parts of the world woke up to see a ton of emails and proceed to Reply All asking to he removed or say they don’t think the email is for them or the classic morons telling everyone to stop hitting Reply All.

    None of these people replying all to the email thought for a second how broadcasting your location to the entire email list might be a bad idea in an emergency situation?
