EA has stopped paying for the FIFA license, which is why their next game is called EA Sports FC (Football Club)
This resulted in them delisting every single FIFA game from digit storefronts, including the less than a year old FIFA 2023

What’s a good game for soccer (football for non Americans don’t jump down my throat please) these days? I mostly play the PS2 madden games when I need my sports game fix, and there are plenty of mods to bring those up to date

the answer is, Fifa (now ea sports). there’s a reason that it’s the only game in town when it comes to the most popular sport on the planet. For all it’s many many faults around ethics, it’s far and away the “best”

None as far as I know. If someone knows the answer I’d be interested as well.
Fifa used to be decent for extremely casual social gaming with friends in person.
Everything else has been horrible for years.
PES is dead. We don’t name whatever is out there now to replace it, no one should
