I get it but I don’t know if it’s fair. It still counts when it goes in
I don’t think a heave is ever going to be a game deciding shot though really, so I don’t think it matters much. I see it as being purely better for spectators and players - players don’t worry about harming their stats, and spectators get the chance to watch a full court heave go in.

It is amusing they care so much but when you have star players like KD not taking these shots because of their stats I can see the league caring enough to change it.
There’s probably others that don’t care but the only one I can think of I see consistently taking them is Jokic and he kinda killed his 3% a bit. Although he did hit 1 or 2 insane ones last season.
