  So after Britain gave Palestine (which belonged to the Ottoman Empire, not Britain) to the Zionists to make modern Israel, other countries are now recognising that the original owners of the land are legitimate. Why not de-recognise Israel? (or is that anti-Semitic and forbidden?)

    The coming recognition of Palestine that Australia announced is based on continuing to recognise Israel as it exists today. Australia has no plans to recognise Palestine as it existed 60, 80 or 100 years ago regardless of how unjust that is.
