I’m at my apartments pool laying in one of the chairs and I brought my pool noodle with me that’s actually pretty heavy duty. I got it from Sam’s club. The pool has their own noodles, but they’ve all been chewed up and ripped up, but there are still a couple in a semi ok condition. Anyway this little kid comes over and is like “excuse me, can I use this?l and I said, very gently, “no sorry, it’s mine”. Then he runs away and tells his brother and the next thing I know he’s coming over to me saying “if you’re not using it, why can’t you can let him use it.” To which I replied, after a moment of being stunned that he even came over to me in the first place, “bro, this is literally my noodle. I paid for it. I’m not giving it to some random kid I don’t know just to get it back with bite marks on it.” Then he literally calls me a bitch and walks away. I don’t think I’m the asshole, but???

NTA. Obviously the parents of this child have failed miserably.
