  I know it’s like closing the barn after the horses have left. But I advocate for anybody running a site they truly care about too make their last backup available as a subdomain. Old.site.com maybe.

  This site should be 100% independent from the main site. Kinda works as ha. The more cross dependencies you add the less HA and more frozen mirror it becomes. Just make sure your not sharing data with the old.site.com

  Basically as a frozen mirror. Yes it doubles the admin workflow, but it pays dividends when you need it.
