    Because Marvel-Disney have nothing for him and people are increasingly realizing he just isn’t that entertaining. So he is desperate to get on to another franchise that will protect him when he inevitably cancels himself for hateful shit.

    Plus, he is a right wing chud and, if rumors are to be believed, this avoids vaccination requirements for big productions.

  We don’t want game movies. We would rather have new games based on these titles. Like how hard is Jax & Daxter? Make it move like GTA with some dark/light magic throne in and a little steampunk and its done.

  What if you actually make a new game in the series first? Or even just remaster the old games? Because I don’t think there’s a lot of people at the moment that remember the games and would want to see a movie of it.

    There were remasters at the tail end of the PS4, right?

    But also? It doesn’t matter if kids give a shit about the games. They see cute and fun Ottsels and have weird feelings any time Keira is on screen. And parents drag their kids to the movie theatre because THEY remember liking these games so obviously their kids will too.

    Like, the vast majority of the kids who lost their mind over the CGI mario movie never played a mario in their lives. Hell, was just in a discussion of “The Best Shredder” and it is fascinating how often TMNT takes over the cultural zeitgeist even though the games are hit or miss and NOBODY has read the comics (because, if you have, you either can’t stop talking about how good the IDW run is or how batshit insane it is that Raph married a werewolf and then burned her corpse in the snowy alps within like three issues. Or that April is actually a drawing come to life).

      The remaster was for PS3 only. The PS4 version of the games are just ports of the PS2 version, so you can’t even play the remastered versions on current generation PS4/PS5

  I’m ok with this. Not excited to have Chris Pratt voice a Jak and Daxter character but it’ll bring attention to the IP which might give us a new game.
