    I really do not understand why they are spending energy to fight this as even if they win, there are centralized and thus will continue to be a target. They need to spend their energy on decentralizing the entire platform as anything less is a sitting duck.

      It’s because libraries are being attacked and should have rights and protections. Winning this sets a precedent they can use to win the next lawsuit.

      The goal is to have archival services be legal, not just accessible.

        Agreed, but we have the tools to make libraries untouchable whereas in the past only laws could protect them.
