‘Pedestrians walk past manhole cover that wasn’t shot into space’

Doesn’t that just make it a manhole cover

It also wasn’t trampled by an elephant, or eaten for breakfast by a dragon.

And nobody taunted it or made aspersions about its moral character either!

Indeed. The one that was shot into space was never recovered and the only photos we have of it at really blurry because it was, at the time the fastest moving man-made object.

On AliExpress, a dispute chat window was designed for portrait mode only and its elements scaled solely based on the WIDTH of the screen. With a roughly 1920×1000 viewport on my desktop, the title bar used a giant font and took up over ½ the screen height, and the bottom textbox filled up the rest but still failed to show up in full. I needed to resize the viewport just to read the messages.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take a screenshot (and I could not find any online), and I cannot access this chat interface after resolving the dispute. I suppose the page was supposed to be embedded in a chatbox in the corner of another website, or only shown fullscreen to mobile users, but I was somehow linked to it nonetheless.

Aliexpress is an awfully designed website, so this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.
