In short:

The decision to split has been criticised by leaders of other blue collar unions the AMWU and the Mining and Energy Union.
What’s next?
The CEPU says it wants to establish a blue-collar rival to the ACTU.

This has got to be the weakest “Labor” government ever. The failure to adequately promote the Voice to Parliament, the recent watering down of environmental protection legislation to appease the Coalition (instead of experts and the Greens) and the administration of a union. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer this over the Coalition any day of the week and I know they need to compromise to get stuff through the senate. The failure to scrap AUKUS and condemn Israel is also appalling.
