For the people who don’t know, the studio that made Patapon shut down in 2021, so they made a new studio with essentially the same people and decided to do a Patapon spiritual successor. It’s going live on Kickstarter in a few days. Can’t wait.
Watching this made me realize just how much my memories and experience with Patapon are tied to playing it on a handheld. Sad this won’t be something I can fire up on a Vita but I’m still looking forward toit!
IF it comes to PC, you can use a Steam Deck or similar handheld PC.
If it comes to Switch, there’s that. And I think Sony has something for streaming a PS5 to a handheld device?
Was patapon good? My psp was stolen before I had a chance to get into it.
It’s a great game. On the outside it’s a simple rhythm game where you give commands to move forward and attack/defend, but when you get into it it’s actually a strategy game where you customize an army of troops and take on missions that get increasingly difficult. If you ever get around to playing it I’d skip straight to Patapon 2 since it’s just a straight up better version of the first game.

I like the looks of it but is that actually how it sounds? I found it hard to even get through the video with the baby-voiced children screaming.
