  This article doesn’t “explain” much, it just repeats the tiny scraps of info clear in the few seconds the ship spends on-screen.

  It also refers to it as “the Kelcie Marie” a couple times.

  Did the ship need explaining? It existed to deliver the antagonist for that episode.

  I’d barely call this an article, more like an “restatement of everything known” with some extra emphasis on the ship. But eh, it’s very likely we could see this again in the next two episode (especially the finale) or in Season 3 to give us more of a clue then (or Lower Decks).
