This kind of problem could lead to shops completely closing in some areas, making life even more difficult for locals. I don’t blame the businesses for closing though, as it’s potentially unprofitable, there is little help from police, and they’ll likely struggle to find anyone willing to work in such places after a while.

The consequence of impoverishing the nation. We live in very desperate times with an unsympathetic government who has one aim in power, that is to make their friends richer at the expense of everyone else.

Yup, 13 years of stealing from the poor to give to the rich, of cutting services, of massive fiscal fuckups, plus a couple of things beyond government control, and it’s inevitable that we’re going to start seeing industrialised looting and crime.
