I played this recently on the PS5 since they put it up on PS+ and I gotta say, I was not expecting Ratchet and Clank to be the single most gorgeous game I have ever played. I 100% the game already but I still keep it installed so I can just admire it’s beauty with the photo mode. I’ve never had the desire to that before.
It’s truly like playing a Pixar movie or other stupidly high quality film animation. Cartoony aesthetic, and yet with a realism to it that just works so, so well. I can’t even think of another game with graphics that come close to A Rift Apart, and I have been checking out almost everything that’s been coming out recently.
I played the reboot on PS4 and it was also a big highlight at the time in graphics. It was very gorgeous, can’t wait to see how it improved after all these years.
It’s crazy how big of a leap in graphics they’ve made. This game looks better than the movie that came out with the PS4 remake that you’re talking about.
Plus it’s just good fun. Insomniac and zaney weapons go together like PB&J
