Is this bad? 4k is becoming really common with cheap displays. If expect DVD to fall way off in favor of better formats.
According to the 2024 Q1 report, physical media sales continue to decline in US, but it's the third consecutive quarter of growth for the 4K UHD Blu-ray format.

It doesn’t seem unusual. DVD is in the process of being replaced by something better.
VHS > DVD > Blu-ray > 4K Blu-ray

This isn’t necessarily a good thing. 4K is growing at the expense of Blu-ray, while DVD is only getting more popular.

I mean, this is where we are heading. Why would anyone buy anything less than 4k BR if they are buying new?
