We must encourage fathers not only to get involved but also to become leaders in their children’s lives when it comes to education. In an age when kids face so much pressure to embrace radical and destructive ideologies, fully engaged fathers can act as a bulwark against these ideas.
Why Fathers Are Essential To Educating Children

Peterson talks about archtypes, and those archtypes are even used by the left. The left is so afraid of the tyrannical ruler that they'd put the wise king to the gallows.
The most dangerous part of radical ideology is that much of it embraces extreme femininity totally.
Now, masculinity isn't evil per se, and femininity isn't evil per se. But the masculine drive for order and structure and for pushing limits and freedom needs to be limited, and the feminine drive for nurturing and belonging and empathy needs to be limited, both by compromising with their counterpart.
The data is absolutely irrefutable: Single parents have a bad habit of raising the worst monsters in our society. Too much nurturing by single mothers leads people raised in that environment to think everything is permitted, too much going with the flow by single fathers (where there is less data) leads people raised in that environment to think that nothing matters.
So while there are some outliers, the overwhelming data shows that a healthy household creates a healthy child. A healthy household requires an engaged father to compromise with an engaged mother, to teach different lessons.

There is also a lot of data showing better outcomes for kids from 2 parent households versus 1 parent households.
I am sure your explanation accounts for a big part of that difference

That's the data I'm relying on, in fact.
