Remember everyone, you can get yourself an emergency food supply for about $100. You can pick up 100 lb of rice, maybe some beans, and definitely a supply of vitamin pills, and that's going to protect you through the coming winter.
Maybe you don't need it. But what if you do? In my view, it is cheap insurance against the most dangerous existential threat I've seen in a long time.

Also consider buying bottled fat. you can stock up on bottled duck, cow, pig fat and that fat has lots of fat soluble vitamins that will help keep your teeth from rotting out living off carbs for 4 months.
