To make corn oil, you have to use oil. Corn is subsidized heavily in the us. Tax payers pay for corn to be cheaper. Without subsidized corn, corn oil would not be anywhere near price competitive. And it sucks. You get fewer miles per gallon.

I used to think these people were evil, that they must realize that what they're proposing to do is going to harm people.
Now I'm starting to think they're just that grossly incompetent. They're actively harming not just the people, but their own continued ability to govern at this point. The only way they're pursuing policies this actively harmful to their own interests is if they're all idiots with no concept of what they're actually doing.
