He never changed. In 2015, he was pro-climate, pro-social welfare, pro-immigrant, and still is. He was always a free speech rebel, who criticized EVERYONE - Obama, Trump, Biden, Gates, Fox News, CNN....
He doesn't support Trump, like MAGA, since he is pro-immigrant and anti-border. But he wants to give Trump supporters free speech and listens to their opinions. Like Bill Maher, he talks to people with opposite views
I disagree sometimes with his idiot guests, for example the architect of Sri Lanka's agriculture policy last year, which led to a ban of fertilizer and a nationwide failure of crops - 84% less harvest. Just minor nitpick, Trump was never actually anti immigrant. We know his wife isn't US born. Just anti illegal immigration and pro first world immigration. Which could be seen as offensive to some. But has benefits that are more to do with economic reasons than racist reasons. First world immigrants usually bring more wealth whereas 3rd world is often and net loss in wealth. Their children often qualify for welfare even if they themselves are here illegally. Which is more common in third world immigration that isn't h1b1 visa.

Instead of lefty plan to let in Afghans, Syrians and Narcs from South America, resulting in terrorists, gang wars, fentanyl massacres, huge vote padding for liberals etc
H1B1 is holy grail for companies. The most $$ profitable immigrants, i.e. brain drain. Unfortunately, as I understand, now its a lottery, not based on $ returns or skill.
