Diney loosing it's special status in florida is going to cost them 200 million per year in property taxes alone.

Just think about that? Disney tried to block Florida laws and now they are going to lose 200 million dollars a year.

Mickey Mouse was supposed to enter public domain in 1984, then 2003, now 2024. Each time Disney lobbied to increase the time before the copyright expires.

After the Midterm bloodbath, Repubs should roll back all of Disney's copyright lobbying extensions, so their entire catalogue becomes open source, and the company can fuck off

  They would pay a lot more in taxes and regulations then they do in the free state of Florida even after they lose their special deal.

  They can't. They own so much property in Florida. They already have a Disney land in Florida. They can't move all the land of Disney World to California. It would be impossible to buy that much property today.
