I don't know how that works -- how is it a debate when every side agrees we should get rid of it?

it's actually really fascinating that I think a majority of people do agree we should get rid of it, and yet it is still here
a good example of political inertia?
All they would have to do is probably give a year in advance or two so calendars don't get printed wrong (or even less time could be workable I guess), it would only create confusion for so many years
but yeah, what is the path towards getting this job done finally?
