I haven’t seen any difference there honestly.
Nothing has changed. Here in Australia also, pre covid a leader for a hiking group was well known in the community and made racist comments. Reported them, and nothing was done.

Maybe I’ve just been lucky. We’ve also had pretty defined rules in the groups I’ve helped organize for.
