The good news for you is that these things are nonlinear. If AMOC collapses we are in a world of pain. Arctic methane, fires, etc will speed up everything. Pretty exciting on the extinction front.
Honestly, I don’t seek death, but given what humans have done to the planet, extinction seems appropriate for us.
I do my best not to add to the problem, but it’s difficult to avoid adding to the issue. Throwing things in the trash, at all, is contributing to the problem. All those garbage trucks burning diesel and filling up the ground with our refuse, often leeching toxic chemicals into the ground…
I do what I can, but it’s basically impossible to avoid.
