There’s no such thing as an “illegal” strike. There are “unlawful” strikes which just means the strike is not protected by the NLRA, so the employer would be free to fire the strikers without legal repercussions.

It’s a crime for teachers, fire fighters, or police to strike where I live. They can literally be arrested for it.

Not for striking, but likely for trespassing or participating in a picket line. You can’t be arrested for simply deciding to not work.
