mysticgreg@aussie.zone âš5â© âšmonthsâ© agoThe questions and checks were pretty thorough when I first signed up back in the day, to make sure people werenât donating who really shouldnât for some reason - theyâre very strict on donor welfare which is great. And they always keep an eye on people after their donations, who are sitting around a bit before heading off. Very well run and well managed places in my experience!
Strangely I always felt âbetterâ afterwards when giving plasma rather than whole blood, but again YMMV!

Oh yeah they still do the in depth questionnaire, and a haemoglobin pinprick test.
And Iâve read that donating blood/plasma increases endorphins or something? It also makes the body make new blood. Also, apparently, it lessens the viscosity of your blood so reduces the risk of blood clots đ€·đŒââïž I guess thereâs also the feeling of doing something thatâs just an altruistic, purely good deed, makes you feel good too knowing someone out there is benefitting from your donation đ
