I’m not sure why that would be.
Generally bugs is colloquial and has no specific meaning in taxonomy.
Unless you mean “true bugs” from the order Hemiptera, which are definitely insects.

mh … from my understanding “crustacean” are in the phylum “Crustacea”, which doesn’t include hexapods. You’re thinking of the clade Pancrustacea.

Each node on a phylogenetic tree is a taxonomic unit. You can’t really talk about one without the other.
